Principle 5 co-operative resource centre is based at Aizlewood's Mill, Sheffield, UK - a co-operatively owned building and home of the Sheffield Co-operative Development Group. The resource centre is a friendly and accessible place where anyone can learn more about the Co-operative Movement.
In keeping with the co-operative principle of Openness and providing information, reports of co-operative societies are available in the centre, both current and historic, including back editions of the Journal of Co-operative Studies, The Co-operative Review, Co-operative Gazette and The Millgate Monthly and a good deal of additional archive material both national and local which will be of interest to co-operative historians.
The lending library will be of particular interest. It started with 25 books, but thanks to the generosity of the East of England Co-operative Society and other donations from the Movement the Centre now has a substantial library for the use of members and researchers.

Principle 5 are launching a new journal - Co-opolitics: A journal of political co-operation, which they hope to publish three times a year.
The aim of the Journal is to provide topical commentary, investigations, research, and critique linked to its support for the implementation of UK Labour Government's stated aim 'to double the size of the co-operative and mutual sector, to promote community-owned renewable energy projects, to introduce the right-to-buy for local assets such as social clubs, and to strengthen protections for retail workers to promote safer high street'.
See the link to the upcoming editorial written by Chris Olewicz & Steve Thompson, directors of Principle 5, explaining the rationale and aims of the publication. They are looking to crowd fund for the first issue due in 2026.
