Abstract

This issues newsletter focuses on the decision to close the Co-operative Development Agency (CDA) together with the merger of the National Network of Local CDAs with the Industrial Common Ownership Movement (ICOM). Other features include a brief review of the Industrial Common Ownership Finance plc's (ICOF) Co-op loan fund; a film featuring co-operative housing in the UK, North America, Sweden, Poland, and West Germany; Lynn Pearson's book on architectural and social history of co-operative living; the prospect of a single European market for co-operative societies; Sunday trading; and a summer curriculum project for young people in clubs and schools to learn about worker co-ops, their structure and operation.
