Abstract

This issue of the news letter has as its focal article on the proposals for Sunday trading and the 'Keep Sunday Special' campaign, backed by the Co-operative Union, the National Chamber of Trade, the Alliance of Independent Retailers, the Union of Shop, Distributive, and Allied Workers, and many of the major churches. Other items look at the CWS Farms Group; Citygrove Properties' attendance at the Labour Party Conference; Credit unions and poverty; and the MetroCentre in Gateshead.
