Abstract

The social economy has attracted considerable rhetorical and policy interest in recent years despite that many of its most ardent supporters are not clear about its defintion or boundaries. This paper offers a pragmatic response to this definitional problem; one that has developed in connection with an audit of the social economy in Wales that the authors are conducting.
