Andrew Bibby is a founder member of Gritstone Publishing - a new authors' co-operative.


Andrew has written for many years on the the themes of co-operative business, mutuality and social enterprise and also blogs on these subjects. 

All Our Own Work, a history of the workers who successfully ran their own textile mill, one of the most significant of Britain's nineteenth century manufacturing co-operatives, was published in June 2015 (published Merlin Press). Hebden Bridge’s fustian co-operative contributed leaders to the national co-operative movement and to the emerging movement for workers’ education. Its central figure Joseph Greenwood was involved in the creation of the International Co-operative Alliance.  Women associated with the co-operative set up in Hebden Bridge the first branch of the Women’s Co-operative Guild in the country.
